Pont du Gard & Canoeing
Pont du Gard - World Heritage Site. Unusually for an important city, Nîmes is not served by a river. The Pont du Gard was built nearly 2000 years ago by the Romans to supply the ancient city (Nemausus) with a source of fresh water 50kms away.
You can go canoeing here, rock-climbing, swim and laze on the beach or even try your hand at bungee jumping!
